past Long road children's film opening
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9o-gsGGm-Bk This is an old Long Road children's film opening. I liked this opening because it uses a lot of the things we noted from the children's films we have uploaded to the blog. This opening involves humor, over acting and school which children can relate to, especially when teachers are the bad guys.

Pocahontas Opening scene
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1Dbgqt-Mpw
We chose this film because it is a child memorable film and was very popular and is good to compare with our earlier video we chose, Little Mermaid, as they are very similar in the way in which they are both dramatized.

Wallace and Gromet
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFjjyEtqB18 - we chose this film as it is a well known and very popular childrens film and thought it we be good starting point to find ideas and content for if we were going to make an animation.
Hannah Montana the movie
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIzUwrfu20s
This movie helped us look at the real acting in children's movies. We also looked at how kids are portrayed in movies to make the audience feel connected to the actor. An example of this is when the character gets hit by a ball and everyone ignores this fact. This could connect to an audience who feel left out when at school. Like most children's films, there are many unrealistic moments, for example, her coming from a concert, to the beach.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mN6coIJ202g - We looked at this movie to look at how kids movies are acted out in real life rather than an animation. A lot of music is used in this opening scene which we can get ideas from. Both animation and real actors which means we can take things down from both sides of this movie. The movie got into the action very quickly which is very important for a child's film.
Buzz Lightyear of Star Command
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFVQF8wF6sM - This is the opening to Buzz Lightyear of star command, the opening scene is good as it continues on from toy story where buzz lightyear originated. This children's film was very popular, i think this was because of buzz lightyear being in toy story.
little mermaid opening scene
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gh9mxPSYsH0 we have chose this film to look at conventions in children's films. We have learnt that over acting and physical humor is very popular as well as music.
